This condition is called squint.”][vc_single_image source=”external_link” external_img_size=”800×800″ alignment=”center” custom_src=”https://www.drasifkhokhar.com/Images/Squint/Squint%20image3.jpg”][vc_single_image source=”external_link” external_img_size=”800×800″ alignment=”center” custom_src=”https://www.drasifkhokhar.com/Images/Squint/Squint%20image1.jpg”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

?What causes squint

Allah Almighty has given us two eyes. When we look at something, both eyes automatically turn to that thing; how? If for some reason the coordination of these two eyes is impaired and they cannot move in the desired coordinated manner, then squint appears. As seen in the pictures below

?How do the eyes move in so many different directions

How does the eye move? Allah Almighty has placed six muscles in each eye; each muscle has its own specific functions. Moving in certain directions will be either due to this muscle or with its help. Thus, when both eyes are pointing in a certain direction, the twelve muscles are actually engaged in their work. This is happening as a result of their great sophisticated and balanced interaction. If for some reason even one muscle loses this balance, Then the eye develops squint. The pictures below show the muscles that are responsible for the movement of the eyes in different directions.

?Why do eye movements become incoherent

Imbalance is usually caused by one of the following three reasons:
  1. The brain cannot maintain the balance in movements of both eyes.
  2. The performance of one eye may be impaired for some reason such as cataract, retinal detachment, vision of one eye is naturally impaired and weaker than the other, etc.
  3. If one or more of the twelve muscles become ill and do not work properly, such as some muscle is paralyzed, some muscle is poorly developed, some muscle is injured, etc.
